Jam-making masterclasses
Learn to make jam the traditional way with the help of our team of friendly specialist cooks. The three-hour course is a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning or afternoon, especially if you bring your friends along too. And at the end of a satisfying time, you’ll have learnt new skills and have some jars of delicious preserves to take home with you.
Location: at our kitchens in and around Winchester, dates can be arranged by mutual agreement, more details available on booking.
Hampshire Food Festival 2008
We will hold classes every Saturday during July at both 9.30am and 2pm. By restricting each class to four people we aim to provide you with a hands-on experience. Early booking is therefore essential.

Sloe gin-making weekends
If you are looking for a weekend away from it all, that still combines your love of food with the countryside and relaxing, this is the one for you. Join us as we head out into the tiny lanes and pathways in the Hampshire countryside harvesting sloes to make that most warming of winter drinks: sloe gin.
Returning to our base in Winchester, you’ll help prepare the gin. After an evening spent at your leisure, you can visit one of Hampshire’s most interesting food events on Sunday morning, the local Farmers' Market is the biggest in the land, then return to the kitchens to finish your gin and take some away with you.
Dates will be available in the autumn, please contact us for details. As yet we don't know exactly when the sloes will fruit, so dates aren't firm. But we'd be delighted to see you.
