Sourcing fresh, local ingredients for every jar
At Real Jam & Chutney Company, we believe in using the best ingredients to create our preserves.
Whenever possible, we source fresh produce from our own vegetable garden in the New Forest.
For the ingredients we can’t grow ourselves, we work with local suppliers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability, ensuring that every jar is packed with the freshest flavours.
Walled Veg Garden
Our walled veg garden at Minstead Lodge is run by New Forest Day Opportunities.
We grow seasonal fresh fruit and veg which is used in our jams, cooking sessions and skill building sessions.
The walled garden was part of the original Minstead Lodge gardens, with our greenhouse heated by Victorian heating systems. Some of our apple trees are hundreds of years old, and quite rare.
Some of the people we support have their own plot which they tend to throughout the summer.
